The Interior
Clifton House, Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire is situated 7 miles from the Roman and Georgian spa city of Bath, and ten miles from Junction 13 of the M4, one hundred miles west of London.  The rail journey from London’s Paddington Station to Bath takes just over one hour and there is a rail connection to Bradford-on-Avon taking twenty minutes.
Clifton House is a family home dating from the seventeenth century, and once a coach inn, offers superb, elegant accommodations on the edge of the ancient town of Bradford-on-Avon. All rooms are furnished with antiques and feature 'en suite' bathrooms. Off street parking is available.
Bradford-on-Avon, site of the Battle of Bradford in AD652, boasts the only surviving complete Saxon Church, built by St. Aldhelm in AD705, one of England’s finest and largest Medieval Tithe Barns and outstanding domestic architecture from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries.  Bradford Bridge is one of only three in the United Kingdom that retains a superstructure, formerly a wayside chapel.
